I call it the Koala Cocktail...

This will be a very short straight to point blog, about one thing only. I'm in the middle of finals, hopefully about to graduate...Therefore I don't have much time to blog. But I really, really wanted to share this with you. Recently I started expanding my taste buds and trying out new drinks.  Normally I like to have a beer or a glass of champagne, but both are pretty high carbonated and make me bloated. So when I'm at the pool that's a NO NO! So I decided to come up with my own cocktail, with ingredients that I love. In addition these ingredients are very refreshing.  So here it is: The Koala Cocktail : Muddle mint in the shaker,  Add ice.  1 oz of cucumber vodka (or regular vodka works too) 1/2 oz of St Germain Liqueur  Shake! Shake! Shake! Pour that beautiful creation in a martini glass Drum Rolls please!  Top off with Champagne! Wait! Another Drum Roll! Garnish with a few slices of baby cucumbers This is one refreshing, delicious...

Getting back into it...

Hell my fellow followers and friends. I have been out of touch for the longest time, but I never stopped thinking about my blog. I have so many great subjects to talk about, and I can't wait to share them with you. First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for still visiting my page even when I wasn't updating it. It's so amazing to see the page views grow daily! Second I will be adding some new subjects, like health and health issues, to my blog. And lastly I will reverse the time back a little so I can tell you about my amazing summer and it's adventures! So I want to start by sharing my first experience bungee jumping! My friend wanted to do that for her birthday and I never really had the wish to go bungee...But I changed my mind almost last minute and decided to go! OH MY GOD, let me tell you, the adrenaline rush is UNREAL! If you ever have a chance to do it, trust me you will not regret! It takes some commitment to jump, but if you just force your mind t...

Motivation tips by Lala Koala

I wanted to blog about something good, something interesting to the world, something valuable. I was thinking for a while: What can I blog about that would be catchy to people? I did my research and after a while I started to lose motivation. And there, it came to me! I will blog about motivation. Without motivation we aren't going to get anywhere in life. The key to success is patience. Nothing good comes easy! If everything in life happen easy, life would have been boring. There would be nothing to talk about. Notice how good, meaningful conversation are often about accomplishments, and no matter how lucky you are there is always a time when you had to work your ass off to get that done!   Besides patience you must be passionate about it. There is a quote I really like: Find what you love and let it kill you.  Here are a few steps to keep yourself going. 1) Always set a goal. Write it, post it, print it, stick it on you wall,  screen save it as y...

Well Hello there...

I have been away traveling a little and have been busy so I didn't get to blog for a while. But I'm back and would like to share my trip with you. I went to Scottsdale, Arizona, for spring training. In last two years this complicated game called Baseball grew on me and thanks to a few people with patience who explained it to me, I now love the game. Spring training was a lot of fun. It was my first time in Arizona and I love it! I thought Scottsdale was beautiful. It's a little spread out so a car is a must. Also, I would never go there during summer because of how hot it gets, so march was perfect. I will definitely will be planning to go back next spring training! For now I will be enjoying the actual season games! GO GIANTS!!!!!!! Here are a few pictures from my trip. The house I stayed at, the games and of course the cactuses!!!  Until next year Scottsdale <3 As Always,  Stay Classy My Friends!

Energy tips by Lala Koala

Ever feel like you need 3 cups of coffee just to get through a simple day at work/school? I do!  Recently I decided I will try to drink less coffee and try to find energy through consuming healthier products like fruits and veggies. Here are a few energy drinks you can consume without feeling guilty:  The first one is called yellow energy: 1-2 oranges, 1 piece of ginger, handful of pineapples. Add a little bot of ice and low-fat yogurt. I add flavored low-fat yogurt. Koala's energy flow: Handful of watermelon, 1 1/2 cups of blueberries, 1 apple, 2-4 strawberries, a handful of blueberries half of a tangerine. Again ice and low-fat yogurt, I used peach low-fat yogurt. Green Madness: Take the energy-packing power of leafy greens, greek yogurt, apples and bananas, and combine it with any other fruits you like, and you've got a wake-up call in a glass. Spinach and kale are favorites for green smoothies because their mild flavor is masked or even complemented by the f...

Summer body tips by Lala Koala

Summer is creeping up so quick. I can't believe it is already almost april! It feels like New Years Eve was just last week!!!! I have been doing a lot of research of different work outs and "diets". By diet, I don't mean just a month of diet. What I mean is changing a lifestyle and nutritional plan.  I'm the worst eater. I hate most of the veggies. I can literally name you veggies I will eat in 20 seconds. My list is that short. However, I have been forcing myself to learn to like new things. In order to do that, I cook them. I start with frying. Unfortunately the vegetable looses all the nutrients by that stage and becomes irrelevant for the diet, but that is how I get used to the new taste. For example: the other day my roommate gets home and says "You must try this fried cauliflower!!!" I said EW, cauliflower? I hate cauliflower. She goes on and says she hates it too but her friend forced her one time to try fried version and she loved i...

Getaway... by Lala Koala

With my schedule being so busy any time I have any kind of free time I like to go to the beach, clear my head, relax, tan, listen to the waves and absolutely always must have lunch or a drink at a restaurant that over looks the water. Nothing satisfies me more than a magnificent view. Just yesterday I had some free time, so I decided to go to Laguna Beach. I absolutely love that place. It's so relaxing and pretty. Art galleries, gorgeous beach, perfect water and of course great restaurants! For lunch I went to this place called The Cliff. I only had their clam chowder, which was really good. After I enjoyed a beer. It was a perfect day.  This picture is not mine, for  my pictures you may follow me on instagram @laasbella This is one perfect picture of Laguna Beach. One day I hope to live there. A few cool places to go in Laguna are: Thousand Steps, Treasure Island, Crystal Cove, Forest, and of course there are a ton of art galleries everywhere....

Sometimes I surf the web for nothing but cool stuff.

This is a perfect get away spot in my mind. The waterfall completes this perfect design with a refreshing touch. It looks amazing, and I would be one lucky person if I ever got a chance to visit a spot like this! This is one lucky dog! How cool is this dog palace?! I have a little dog and she would looove those stairs! she loves running up and down the stairs, as I'm sure lots of other dogs love it too. I found this pictures and I fell in love with this spot. I mean why not get a pool that is as big as a whole river?! This place looks so freaking awesome! I'd love to wake up to this every morning! God, this is one amazing view! I can't stop staring at this magnificent picture! Another great looking get away spot. It looks like it could be a great time share location. Glass everything! The pool! It looks crystal clear! Ahhhh making me want to go to vacation NOW! If I ever get lucky to go to a place that has these things for rent I would rent one i...

Traveling...

I love traveling. I love exploring what this world has to offer to me. 2 years ago I went to Europe. Visited my home country Estonia. Also stopped my Stockholm and London.  Today I'll share some of the pictures I took in Sweden.  Sweden was one of the most beautiful places I have yet seen. The part I visited was surrounded by water. It seemed as if the whole city is just sitting on top of the water.  The weather wasn't the greatest, as you could tell from the picture, but it was still a great experience. I also visited the Queen's castle, which was under construction, however I managed to snap a good enough picture  Im not sure what this building was but it was right next to the castle and looked really great so I snapped a picture of it as well Everything seemed as it's made out of gold. For example this was a random bank in downtown. It looks as if it's the castle it self. A cute park in downtown Stockhol...

Happiness is found with in...yourself

Happiness is when you can be happy with yourself, before you let someone else make you happy. When you're happy with yourself everything else doesn't matter. There is no rush to find someone special to fulfill your needs. I realized something very important yesterday. I did something I have never done before, as a matter of fact I never thought I would do something like that, ever. But it happen and I didn't fight it. I actually didn't mind it at all. It made me realize how much I've grown internally since my break up.  For one of my classes I had to go see this movie called "No". Its not a popular movie and is only playing in 3 theaters in LA area. The closes one is 28 minutes away from my house. I asked 4 people if they wanted to join me and all said no, which normally would piss me off.  -You, my friend, say no to me to company me at the movies?! What?! How dare you? ...and so on, but last night as the 4 people said no, I thought to myself: "I...

Strike it.

Antioxidants!!!!

Before you know it summer will be here! Start early this year and get in shape now! I love food, and I love to cook. And if you must know I don't really eat that healthy due to not liking a lot of veggies and fruits! However!!!! I have been working on making myself eat healthier and include fruits and veggies I never ate before. I usually just cook/blend them so I don't taste them as much and once I'm used to the taste a little, I try it raw. Anyway I just wanted to share my list of antioxidants: *Cranberries *Papaya seeds *GARLIC- I cook a lot of stuff with garlic *Lemon and/or  Lime juice *Raspberries *Blueberries *Beets Since I'm very picky those are my antioxidants, but there are plenty more that you may eat for the same effect, for example: Broccoli, Red Kidney Beans, Artichoke, Prunes,  Raisins, Spinach, Brussels Sprouts and many more. Also if your a lover of concentrated juice and you want to loose weight, avoid: Concentrated Orange ...
I wanted to share my opinion on this "holiday". I think Valentine's day is great, however I believe that there should be more of them. If you're sharing your life with someone special make every day a Valentine's Day. I don't mean buy presents or go out to eat everyday, there are plenty of ways to make your significant other see that you appreciate them. For example: if your other half wakes up to a cup of coffee, get up 5 minutes earlier and make that cup. Little things like that will take you a long way. I will blog about romance soon enough, however this post will be about Valentine's day ideas. If you don't want to go out to eat, or you are too late on making the reservations, make a meal at home. Buy some flowers, maybe a box of chocolate. Of course, you can be more original and get her something she mentioned about a while back. If you want to go all out here is a few gift/decorating ideas for your home.  These are the cutest li...
