I know you love it ....

...when I share motivating tips with you. Honestly, nothing motivates me more than success/successful stories and motivating tips. Regardless of the subject, we all need a "push" sometimes.
I have always been active, but in the last couple of months I started taking working out seriously. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, and I have a designated day for legs/butt, arm/chest, full body and of course abs. I have never really had a program before, I used to go to the gym, do whatever feels right and leave.
Today I will share my work out with you, keep in mind it does change, sometimes I add new workouts, sometimes I take classes, and sometimes I get trainers who show me something more effective. Before I continue with exercises, I want to tell you that I'm not alone on this fitness journey, and if you have someone who will motivate you and pick you up, get in pairs or groups, makes it much easier to reach your goal.
We also started a fitness page on instagram and if you are on it please follow us @bikini_twinkies where we share our workouts and post tips to motivate both you and us.
Now let me start by telling you, YOU must have a goal. Whether you want to lose weight, gain weight, gain muscle, tone, or just have a healthier body, you must set you goal. After you have a goal, you have to create a plan. What will have to change in your diet, how often and how much are you going to be working out, and what kind of workouts will you be doing? Once that is set, all you have to do is just follow it. We all lose our motivation at one point, so when that happens to you, go on my instagram and watch my videos and read my post, and You will get off your butt and go work out!
My goal is to tone up and have more strength. I don't really care about bulking up or loosing much weight, I just want to be fit, I want to have a booty and some definition to my abs (note, I do not want a 6 pack, or a 4 pack, maybe just a nice 1pack). Most importantly I want to be able to do like 10 pull ups! I will be one happy girl when that happens. I do not want big muscles or look like a bikini competitor, nothing against it at all, that's just not my goal. As a matter of a fact I often look at bikini competitors (and their journeys) for motivation and for possible new work outs. I want to look like a fit, badass chick who can do something an average girl can't.
So finally, here is my work out routine for Leg day! This is my favorite day. I absolutely love sore legs, makes me feel so much tighter.
20 reps, repeat 3-4 times.
Squats!!!! I do mine with a 8-12 pound medicine ball for more stability and intensity.
Lunges!!!  5-10 pound weights in each hand
Single front leg raises!!!
Single back leg raises!!!
Single back leg raises with 60-75 pound weight!!! (this is done with a machine called leg curls)
Butterfly in and out with 60-80 pound weight!!! (again this done with machine)
If i still have some energy I will ride a spin bike for 10-30 minutes.

And that completes my leg day.

I will share the rest of my work outs soon! For now, follow @bikini_twinkies on instagram and try my leg day!

As Always, Stay Classy My Friends <3

The Gamble of Packing

It's been a minute, or two. Oh wait, it's been over two months! I have been traveling around Europe, as I promised, and this experience has been so absolutely amazing.  Before I left, I did a little bit of research on traveling, but definitely not enough. I saw the phrase 'Pack Light' a million times. But how do I pack light for 3 months? Especially knowing that the weather will be anywhere between 55/rain and 100/humid. I have never experienced that much of a difference in climate, in such short period of time, therefore I was so overwhelmed with packing, that I just kept on putting everything in the bag.  By the time it was time to leave, my bag was around 35 pounds. But wait, I also decided that I need a rolling bag, which was around 11 pounds, and a small backpack around 4 pounds. So here I am with 50 pounds in my back , without a single clue of what I'm getting myself into. Within the first week I was ready to ditch 20 pounds of clothes because I rea...

Icelandic Adventures

The Land of Ice awaits my arrival. Or so, I hope. I have dreamt of this for a long time. I'm so beyond excited to explore, yet another country. In just 11 short days, I will be getting on the plane, to depart for Iceland. I have so many things on my list that I would love to see, but so little time. With only 7 full days there, I'm torn to have to pick and choose which places I will have to miss this time. This trip is filled with exciting activities I've never done. I will be talking about each activity in a separate post after I experience it.  Iceland offers some of the most spectacular sceneries: endless waterfalls, volcanos, icebergs, farm houses, natural lagoons/hot-springs, ice caves just to name a few.  I’m also excited for the weather change. To wear a jacket, and gloves and a hat. Living in Florida for the passed 10 months made me really appreciate a little bit of that crisp air. I have been wearing nothing but dresses, so I’m excited for some la...

To date or not to date...

I missed this weekend of blogging due to my crazy schedule. My weekends are no where near the actual weekends. It always seems to be the busiest days out of the week for me.  Let me start of by saying I am about to tell you my "Carrie Bradshaw" story. If you know me, you already know my story, if you don't...Well... long story short: got dumped, had my heart shattered to a million, maybe ever three million, tiny pieces, hopeless, heartless, loveless... you get the point. Because of that I was forced to start these new discoveries of how I can make myself happy now. It's taking me a while to realize what I really want, who I really am, and who I really want to be. With these question I'm learning a lot about myself. Recently I started reading a book called "Date like a Man", the book isn't about just dating; it is about discovering the things I have been trying to about myself for the passed 3 months. This book has many little self discovering ...
