Happiness is found with in...yourself

Happiness is when you can be happy with yourself, before you let someone else make you happy. When you're happy with yourself everything else doesn't matter. There is no rush to find someone special to fulfill your needs. I realized something very important yesterday. I did something I have never done before, as a matter of fact I never thought I would do something like that, ever. But it happen and I didn't fight it. I actually didn't mind it at all. It made me realize how much I've grown internally since my break up.  For one of my classes I had to go see this movie called "No". Its not a popular movie and is only playing in 3 theaters in LA area. The closes one is 28 minutes away from my house. I asked 4 people if they wanted to join me and all said no, which normally would piss me off.  -You, my friend, say no to me to company me at the movies?! What?! How dare you? ...and so on, but last night as the 4 people said no, I thought to myself: "I

Strike it.

Antioxidants!!!!

Before you know it summer will be here! Start early this year and get in shape now! I love food, and I love to cook. And if you must know I don't really eat that healthy due to not liking a lot of veggies and fruits! However!!!! I have been working on making myself eat healthier and include fruits and veggies I never ate before. I usually just cook/blend them so I don't taste them as much and once I'm used to the taste a little, I try it raw. Anyway I just wanted to share my list of antioxidants: *Cranberries *Papaya seeds *GARLIC- I cook a lot of stuff with garlic *Lemon and/or  Lime juice *Raspberries *Blueberries *Beets Since I'm very picky those are my antioxidants, but there are plenty more that you may eat for the same effect, for example: Broccoli, Red Kidney Beans, Artichoke, Prunes,  Raisins, Spinach, Brussels Sprouts and many more. Also if your a lover of concentrated juice and you want to loose weight, avoid: Concentrated Orange
I wanted to share my opinion on this "holiday". I think Valentine's day is great, however I believe that there should be more of them. If you're sharing your life with someone special make every day a Valentine's Day. I don't mean buy presents or go out to eat everyday, there are plenty of ways to make your significant other see that you appreciate them. For example: if your other half wakes up to a cup of coffee, get up 5 minutes earlier and make that cup. Little things like that will take you a long way. I will blog about romance soon enough, however this post will be about Valentine's day ideas. If you don't want to go out to eat, or you are too late on making the reservations, make a meal at home. Buy some flowers, maybe a box of chocolate. Of course, you can be more original and get her something she mentioned about a while back. If you want to go all out here is a few gift/decorating ideas for your home.  These are the cutest li

When you're out...

I have been wanting to do this for a while, so finally I am. I wanted to share my view on the tip out system for when you're out eating or drinking or both. So many confused people out there who have no clue about how people make money in the restaurant...or so it seems. Servers make money on TIPS! Not on hourly pay, which is minimum wage for the most places, for those confused folks out there! I have been in the restaurant business for about 7 years now, so I consider myself a good enough source of information when it comes to tip out stuff. I will start off by saying 1) IF you cannot afford it, DO NOT GO OUT! Don't give me and excuse saying "Times are tough I can't afford to leave a tip". EXCUSE ME?! Times are tough???? Why do you think I work in the restaurant? Don't go out  and order a a double patron margarita plus 15$ meal, and then tell me you're broke! You shouldn't be eating out and especially not drinking out if you cannot afford it! 2) Don

So little time...

There are so many things I want to accomplish, but there is so little time to do it all. This passed weekend I went to a couple of acting workshops. It was a great educating experience, and since I haven't taken any other acting classes this was a perfect place to start. During the workshop everyone got to do a little bit of acting which was the best part of a workshop for me. Since it took me a long time to discover what I want to do with my life, I know exactly how it feels to be in love with the choice or not. Shaunda Grace Jones was one of the people who coached the work shops, and I must admit she was great! Honest advice and a lot of informative tips.  I know acting career takes a very long time to start, but I'm so ready to give it all I have to work toward my goal. I will be taking many acting courses in the next few months and I will be updating you on how things are going. Besides working on my acting, I'm also working on screenwriting, as you may have noticed
